February update!

Family: Relatives seem to have dominated the scene this month. With Dad being in hospital for his cancer operation we have had an unexpected stream of family members coming up to Newcastle to visit. It has been great to see them but I would have preferred the circumstances to have been different. As it is Dad has come through surgery well and hopefully will be out in a few days. They will move into their apartment here in Killingworth on the 20th and begin a new phase of their lives here in the North East. Let’s hope that they settle here quickly and enjoy their time here!

Ministry: There has been much to do in between hospital runs. Schools have gone really well with great attention and good feedback. A decapitation (well almost) in front of 900 students at Bede Academy caused a buzz. I also had an OFSTED visit at a school where I am a Governor which was most successful! Sundays have been busy too with preaching opportunities in a number of churches.

Coming up: Clearly there is still a lot to do for Mum & Dad. Once Dad is back home we need to get them ready for their move into their apartment. I will be off to Spain for a week to join my sister in packing up their belongings and getting them shipped back home. The other main feature if February is the Fellowship of Christian Magicians 25th Anniversary conference. As president I have a lot of responsibilities. It should be a great time with some top Christian performers from here and the States. I will be looking after the US guys before and after the conference for a few days showing them some of the delights of this nation of ours!

Looking ahead there is much thought and planning going into the ‘More than Gold’ Olympic outreach here in the NE. Some 1000 Norwegian teenagers are coming so a great opportunity!

Thanks again for your prayers!
